Jamie Wimberly is
the President of CAEM, serves on the Board of Directors of CAEM and CAEM
Canada, and leads many of CAEM's efforts, including the DISCO of the
Future Forum, the Distributed Energy Task Force, and other projects.
Before joining CAEM, he served as Vice President of the Consumer Energy
Council of America (CECA), the oldest public interest organization in the
Nation focusing on the energy, telecommunications and other network
industries providing essential services to consumers. At CECA, he
initiated and directed the CECA Distributed Energy and Domestic Policy
Forum, the Electric Restructuring Forum, the Convergence Forum, the
Broadband Forum, and the Universal Service Forum, in addition to a number
of other projects that resulted in new policies and business practices. He
previously worked in the office of Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur for two
separate time periods and had a wide range of responsibilities that took
him well beyond the confines of that office, including being one of the
key congressional aides in relation to U.S. trade policy, serving on the
House Appropriations Committee, and working closely in a bipartisan manner
with the House and Senate leadership and their staffs. Jamie is a graduate
of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies with an M.A.
in international economics and a focus on energy markets. He has published
more than 40 articles on energy issues, telecommunications policy and
international trade. |
