CAEM's Convention for Friends of Competitive Energy Markets

Washington, D.C. — June 6–7, 2005

Why a Convention for Friends of Competitive Energy Markets?

CAEM is sponsoring the Convention for Friends of Competitive Energy Markets, with the theme Coordinating and Accelerating the Transition, to provide market advocates with a thought-provoking program to inspire and motivate – but more importantly for like-minded persons to come together and map out a course of action.

The Convention is being held in conjunction with CAEM's Annual Energy Competition Leadership Awards Banquet.

The underlying question that will run throughout the Convention and Awards Banquet is: How can advocates of competitive energy markets better coordinate and accelerate their efforts?

The Convention will address what is needed to build on successes and find ways to regain momentum where the effort for competition is stalled. Speakers and attendees will interact to discuss: vision, policy, strategy, leadership, organization, funding, outreach, and persuasion.
