This Year's Award Winners

Last year, in celebration of our fifth anniversary, CAEM for the first time sponsored an awards banquet to recognize and honor leaders in the competitive movement. The awards banquet also provided a forum where like-minded persons could assemble and contemplate lessons learned and plan upcoming coordinated strategies. Response from attendees was so positive that not only was a secind banquet planned, but the Convention for Friends of Competitive Energy Markets was created around it to expand on the time allotted for market advocates to meet and hear from a greater number of speakers.

The 2004 Energy Competition Leadership Awards Banquet was attended by nearly 100 persons, and included leaders from for-profit companies, as well as top representatives from several state commissions and from federal agencies. For 2005, we anticipate building on that success—particularly by timing the convention with the banquet.
